Felt like drawing another pinup. Please disregard the arms. They are awful.This is Kaiden from Mass Effect. I wanted to prove that I don't only draw Krogan -_- I romanced Kaiden in my run but I'll be honest and admit I never had any feelings for him. He's kind of annoying actually.
I think it would be fun to do the whole cast as denim models/ pinups... we'll see if time allows for that.

I was wondering if it would be okay to use this picture as a reference for a gift I'm drawing for my friend's birthday.
I'm drawing the picture traditionally and I can't find a good reference for muscles or even a good pose. After all day of looking, this is the best thing (well, perfect, actually) I've been able to find.
I know how busy you are, so if you were able to reply, it would make my day

Odd that a sexy Kaidan picture is followed by a lot of Kaidan bashing. I'm not crazy about him either, but there are lots of Kaidan fangirls who probably would like to favorite good art like that, but then get turned off by "lulz I loved killing Kaidan" stuff underneath. Just a thought.

People have a right to express their opinion, I'm not going to hide every comment just because it might not be positive - and that goes for both the character and the art itself.

That is your prerogative. I just know for a fact (as I've had it straight from the mouth of some Kaidan fans) that this picture would have more praise if the Kaidan bashing was not there. I think it unnecessarily limits its appeal. Why distance the very people who are the most likely to praise it? That makes no sense, but it's your picture. Do what you want.

if you run into those people again, tell them that to their misfortune I'm afraid DeviantArt is a community and a community is full of people with different opinions. I sympathize that their favorite character gets a lot of negative reactions out of people, but if they feel fit to judge me for things that OTHER people say, then it's not really the art they were appreciating afterall.

Like I said, I'm not big on Kaidan. I'm a Garrus fangirl. Your turian ally pic is what drew me here, and then I saw this and pointed it out to some Kaidan fans I know. They wanted to like it but were torn on the bashing. I'm not judging the pic based on the comments. I already said it was "good art" and it is, independent of whatever is said below it. And I would hardly call agreement with statements or apparent condoning of such statements indifferent. Like I said. It's your art, do what you like. I just thought it pertinent to point out that it might alienate some potential fans.

Your pic actually came out as you wanted, mate! And that IS much to say for me, cos I donβt find anyone sexy except when the guy in question is people/character I LOVE. So yes, your sexy pics are a great achievement, donβt underestimate them!
