Homunculus / homunculai (at least in tales) is a word used for any artificially created beings, associated with those created by alchemy (which I imagine is why they're used in FMA

Well, the probably most famous homunculi right now are probably from the Fullmetal Alchemist animes, but I don't this she's from that universe.
