This is stunning! I love the richness of the color and the attention to detail of the figures is such an asset to the piece. The composition is very nicely balanced to highlight the work. You can really feel the emotion and personality of the characters. It gives me pause and has me imagining an entire scene in my mind around just what is conveyed in the image. I tend to browse a lot, so it's not just any picture that makes me stop to admire it enough to want to add it to my favorites so I can share it with others. This is certainly one of those pieces for me. You should feel very proud of what you have accomplished with this. Nicely done.

This is really good. Serious jealousy issues with your skill right now. My only suggestions would be that the horns look like they were stuck on after the fact. Maybe wrap the hair over the base to make them look a little more integrated. and the wing looks a little stiff, not sure what could be done about that. And maybe just i touch of reflected light on the girl in front. not enough to take the focus off empusa but it might add a little more energy to the scene.

I'm sorry that I missed this conversation
I don't always use reference, there are obviously some things that I can't shoot reference for. I also don't attempt to copy the reference directly. I use the information in the photos to get a somewhat realistic look.
