This is jaw droppingly awesome! a noob question if I may ask, are you illustrators who work on these card games given designs to illustrate from or do you design the characters themselves?

On this particular game, I got to design all of the characters/costumes/environments myself. On something like Warcraft/Hearthstone or Magic the Gathering I usually get a Style Guide, Concept Art and/or Character Sheets that tell me what everything should look like in the scene.
