Description
A brief reference guide to stellar classification based on star spectral types. Information sourced from Star Trek Starcharts and Wikipedia [link]Codes following the star names are in the following format:
(Spectral Class, Temperature Subcategory, Luminosity)
I wanted to do something useful for once, and this is what happened. I figure it's good practice for making stars in Photoshop.

Jamie:
Thank you for this easy-to-understand chart.
I have downloaded it to use in choosing interesting stellar types to view in Celestia (get a copy if you don't already have one!).
I intend to use that to make screencaps of interesting systems to use in making splash screens for player-made mods to Space Empires IV (see examples at spaceempires.net - you may need to register first).
It will be known as the Takahashi Star Class Chart.
The first examples may be in my dA gallery in a couple of days.
Again, thank you.

Wow, thank you haha glad to see it was useful. I do have Celestia, and I often open it up just to watch starships orbit planets haha. Be sure to give me a heads up when you post those examples. Cheers haha

Ah well, here's the thing!
Those particular images are being used in a player mod under development for Space Empires IV and because they're going to be ingame images, my co-developer isn't giving permission (at the moment) for posting, so I can't put them up yet & probably not at all.
However, the two images in my gallery "Strong Leader" & "Whose Galaxy?" relate to the mod - so you can get an idea of the context.
They just don't use any of the Celestia graphics that I use your guide to find.
Sorry!
Cheers.

Well, if you do, I'll be glad to have been of service. Personally, I think I may use this for Science Olympiad.

Yeah, pretty much. Last year our school only got one medal, and that was the one my friend and I got in Remote Sensing. We had to identify features on Mars, and I basically did everything from memory.
