Description
Just a few images of uniform concepts. I decided to split up divisions a bit more because I felt like it. On top are Science Mission uniforms, and on the bottom are Military Mission variants, since it's been noted that the ones on top don't look "Navy" enough.Edit: Science and Tac/Sec were switched, so I fixed that.

awesomeness lol I like the Science versions alot, the Tac/Secuirty reminds me of Kirks red vest for some reason ^^ in a good way. The military styles look great, but to me they seem to be lacking alittle highlight/detail somewhere. Overall awesome job

I was trying to keep the military variants pretty matte, that way they would be even harder to see in the dark

Well, it's going to be enlisted crewmen more often than officers, but the Redshirts will indeed die more often than anyone else

Well, I figured the black would be better for military action, though I'd hope that those would only be secondary uniforms. I would rather Starfleet stick to exploration, so they'll be wearing the upper ones more often
As for the pilot, that'd be the shuttle and fighter divisions.

true, but in ships like the prometheus who is a pure warship the darker ones would be primary (i wanna use these in my fan fic)

Hehe, I confess I tried to trace your uniform from previous deviations so I can give you a gift in form of uniform chart, but I phail at Illustrator. xx
Anyhoo, yes, I agree (with the comment above) that I don't agree (with you) with the direction you are taking the uniform... which makes your take very "you", which makes it even better.

Actually, no, sadly. I made a basic template back about a year ago based on the uniforms in the Star Trek Magazine and edited it in paint. I had to tweak it in Photoshop, and then I needed to use all sorts of select tools and color balance edits to change everything
I'm currently in the process of getting Adobe Illustrator, so once I have that, I'll be able to make more easily editable templates.

Hm, interesting. Though the bottoms sort of remind me of the Enterprise Jumpsuits. I still am partial to mine, but then again artist are always partial to their own work to some degree.

Thanks, the thought had actually occurred to me. I'd been planning on doing this for a while, and since you made yours I was inclined to start work on mine. I'll have better renditions up once I'm done downloading Illustrator
