Description
And the final army of the 40k posters, the Tyranids! Though my first game of 40k was as Space Marines against 'Nids I still love the image of them. Hulking monsters twice the size of a normal man that destroy eveything in their path...Nuff said in previous posters.

mmmkay... but, wouldn't tyranids absorb the flood ability to infect on a cellular level, also? i think this is a bit of a stalemate really...

well, before they absorb it they would be infected from it.

i think i really need to know more about tyranids, before i can really argue against that... i'm actually a tau player.

damn flood... i suppose the 'nids could just win at ranged combat... possibly from space...

chure but the nids just don't roll like that.

yeah... and if the nids did do orbital bombardments, i'm not sure that the space marine defences would've ever done so well...

.... can you extuminatus a sun?

PuddingDragon94 In reply to bobdd0 [2010-05-18 16:40:39 +0000 UTC]
...? ok, a little off-topic... that depends whether the exterminatus craft could withstand the heat. if it could, then yes. i'm not sure if it would hold any success... i guess it would disrupt the gases and possibly affect the burning process, but i'm not sure really...

why would you want do an exterminatus on a sun anyway? but yeah, i think the flood would win a lot of battles, but i don't think nids can ever be beaten outright.

indeed... and i think that if i was the UNSC (or is it UNCS?) i think i'd focus a bit more on the flood than covenant... unless they had halo rings, of course, which they always seem to have.

bobdd0 In reply to PuddingDragon94 [2010-05-23 20:38:34 +0000 UTC]
well, the UNSC had nothing to focus on, the flood was discovered around 5-7 months before halo 3 and the only known flood were on delta halo which was being quarantined by the Leets.

o rly? well then... i guess that's alright. i suppose i shouldn't really presume to know much about the halo universe either. i've only ever played halo 3 all the way through, but had brief plays on halo 1 and 2. (they weren't mine, so i couldn't complete them)

yes. such as the fact that the only viable way to stop a nid' hive fleet is to send a ork WAAAAAAGH! at it. '

indeed... i love orks. i have an ork stompa that still needs painting. i also love nids, but i don't have any. so if not from the games, how is it you know stuff about warhammer? does it just crop up on the internet, or have you read any books?

even though the are consuming the bodies of their one like you said the flood splice and mix their genes with it so in other words it will be gene splice after gene splice
