Sketching the frames took about an hour, and about ten minutes to put it together on comp. There's 8 frames in it. So yeah this is a small and boring animation but I hope you like it :'D
I know.. I failed the tail and forelegs, but most of all the hindlegs! Not to mention the head and body.. lol
So crits are welcome but I already know the flaws xd

Here here. I have it now. ( First video) I am sooooo sorry that I did this without your permission, but I did this a while back and I was stupid back then and didn't read anything on what this was and what not so I didn't see what you said: To use only as reference, not to trace and stuff. But, I colored it, gave it eyes and put them all together. I am truly sorry and will give you credit if I were to put it anywhere. I only showed my family so it hasn't been claimed as mine like a thief would do. I am sorry again! I hope you like it though. heh
(And if you're wondering, it's of my RP pack. And It's Alpha Raven first, then Carlisla in white, Timber in the brown and Sunfire, the second black wolf.)

It depends on what animating you want to do, if you want to do traditional sketch animating you could put the scanned frames together in a programme like UnFREEz or Ulead
If you want to do it digitally, you could use something like GIMP .
Although, GIMP's animating system is a bit complex, so you could use GIMP to draw the frames, and then use UnFREEz again to put it together.
I use Fireworks myself, so I can't tell you how good those programmes are, but I'm sure you can figure them out.

I've used UnFREEz a couple times, it's very easy to use. Just save each file (as a .GIF), then add your frames by dragging and dropping the saved file into UnFREEz. Adjust the frame timing (although never go under 7 as that is the fastest the internet accepts), and save.
I haven't used Ulead before though, so I can't help you with that :C

now i also want to color in moving pictures so that i can change its color so it looks like its for real xD....i think its called a gif?? xDD lol gifs everywhere xDD but i wanna know how to do that an i need to know with what program you need to do things like that an how hard it is to do ._. cause i have gimp 2.6 and photoshop cs3 but idk how to use it i only know how to use gimp 2..just a bit Dx

Well, if you've got Photoshop CS3 extended (it tells you when you start it up if it is), then you can use it to make animations. Just go to Window, Animation, and draw each frame on it's own layer. Then when your frames are done, make it so the first frame is the only one visable, then go onto the animation window and add a new frame, then switch off the first frame layer, and turn on the second, ect.
If not, draw/colour your frames, save them all as GIFs (they'll need to be individual files), then open up My Pictures (or where ever you saved the frames), open up UnFREEz, then drag and drop each frame from your pictures to UnFREEz C:
