Sketching the frames took about an hour, and about ten minutes to put it together on comp. There's 8 frames in it. So yeah this is a small and boring animation but I hope you like it :'D
I know.. I failed the tail and forelegs, but most of all the hindlegs! Not to mention the head and body.. lol
So crits are welcome but I already know the flaws xd

the runnin is amazing i love how his ears flop , i m so curious how u done it couple of days ago i watched an animatio sketch the first image , then use tracing paper did the seocund so on so the character moves , is this what you did and i relaly really curious does tracing paper scan into the computer becuase this particular artist then got it on to her computer , love to know you u done the first part ^_^ thnk u

There are still a couple of faults in it, but that's nothing much to worry about.
And just a small tip: If you use 12 frames (which is mostly used for drawing running canines), the animation with look a lot smoother.
And I think there should be at least 1 extra frame between when the back legs are pulled up to their highest point and the moment when they touch ground again.
Perhaps make him stretch out a bit further? That way, it looks more powerful when he pushes himself forwards.

I like this. 
The details in the paws is great (i hate drawing paws). The back legs might look funny because they are a little slimmer then the rest of your wolf's body, but otherwise they're in the right spots.
Why no eyes? And the ears are so floppy i had to smile at the cuteness. ♥

The only thing I think is a little jerkish is the mouth. But heck, I can't animate like that, even though I want to

Nice work by the way. But I have a question, what type of file did you save the pencil test animation as? because I'm having issues uploading my pencil test animation on here. They keep on saying that I can't use the "traditional pencil test" category.

I don't use mac, I never have, so I really have no idea. If you have a flash program, you could try opening it in thee and saving as .gif ? dunno if it works, but it never hurts to try!

must of been difficult to draw the frames right if you were drawing the movements on separate pieces of paper. pretty smart though

Hello,
I am an animator and I think your animation is really good, but you should shoot it at 30fps animating on 2s, and you need to make some trace backs, if you don't know trace backs are when you trace your frames and then when recording the cycle you periodically use one of your trace backs instead of the original you don't need to try to make the trace back different you had will do that on its own, and you should create multiple trace backs for each frame and then record the entire cycle with all the variation many times say 5 or 6 for a really good cycle and then loop it, because then it doesn't look as obvious that's its a loop and it looks more natural because of the slight variation. And maybe you could add a little early/ late arrival/departure to the ears, fur and tail because adding something so small to your drawings will take them a long way. Im not trying to say its bad, its a really great start, Im just trying to share what I learned studying animation in college.

Hey, thank you very much for the tips! You know this is an old animation already and I'm not gonna go and change it anymore, but I'll be concentrating more in the future. I envy you for being in an animation college. I think we have none of them here in Finland. That's why studying abroad would be really awesome.
