Hey everyone~I want to submit this old picture
I never finished this one but I still think it was enough work to show it here
.It isnt finished because I wasnt satisfied with the perspective and the overall composition. :/
Maybe I will paint some similar picture in the future but just better.

This is lovely. Atmospherically, especially. The only glaring thing to me is that the balcony by the kid is very unfinished and rough looking compared to the corner brickwork behind the girl.

I'm a cover artist and I'm working to the main american publisher houses (like dark horse, image etc)... I can say one thing. You would be an excellent artist to covers and illustrations (and character designer!!! Did you send anything to Wizards of the Coast or Sabertooth Games? I think you get a job there easily!)

The breaking dawn and the bubbles form such great contrast and symbolism.

Für mich sieht das Bild eigentlich nicht unfertig aus. Zumindest fällt da nichts zu unangenehm auf. oO;
Denn die Lichtsituation ist so schön! XD
Und zumindest der Junge im Vordergrund ist so schon ausmodelliert, dass alles andere ruhig etwas unfertig wirken kann, das macht gar nichts.
Das einzige, was ich bemängeln würde ist, dass die Seifenblasen etwas zu massiv wirken. Sie wirken so, als wären sie aus millimeterdickem Glas, finde ich.

I just watched 22 episodes of Heros in the last three days so I'm totally waiting for the big mushroom cloud to just appear. o_o

i love this piece. its very well put together and captures a rather cool feel in my perspective. to me it makes me feel rather isolated and alone. im not sure why, maybe its the height, or maybe its the stone buildings, but it feels to me like the girl is looking forwards to a warmer horizon, while stuck behind in a world that is rather cold and entrapping. the boy seems oblivious to whats around him mind you . maybe im looking too deep into it, or maybe its just my dislike for heights and big cities @_@

I actually really like the girl facing away from the viewer. It works better compositionally for me and her the way her hair is blowing kind of makes me think she's advernturous.
I really think is is beautiful. The colors and lighting are amazing. I also think how some sections are more refined than others is really nice. I can't even tell this is unfinished.

For future compositions, I'd say leave out that strong verticle wall blocking off the right side of the image. It makes the composition feel awkward - even though it feels like the children are supposed to be the focus, the dark flat wall flattens their area out and pushes the focus to the light sky in the background.

No shame you never finished it... cause I like it as WIP as it is. Especially the city itself, with its gloomy, unsharp features, washed away details and uncertainity fills the pic with a great atmosphere.
The colours are splendid, let alone the texture on the walls in the foreground.
I'd possibly hang one like this on my walls.

Mal wieder wundervoll! Nur eins hätte ich doch auszusetzen:
Die Seifenblasen wirken gar nicht "fragil". Dadurch das sie so milchig-weiß sind, erscheinen sie mir sehr fest. Wären sie mehr durchsichtig und würden mehr von dem goldenen Licht reflektieren...wow, das wärs! ^__^

wow, das sieht wieder atemberaubend aus! du probierst immer wieder neue sachen aus, die auch eine richtig tolle wirkung haben... das hier sieht so melancholisch und ruhig aus, es ist so eine bedrückende stimmung da, als ob der weltuntergang bevorsteht, und das mädchen sich fragt ob es nicht doch noch hoffnung gibt, während der junge verträumt vor sich hinspielt XD
jedenfalls beeindruckt mich die belichtung und die reflexion an den gebäudeteilen sehr, es ist so richtig plastisch, als würde ich auch da drinstehen... das bild zieht einen mit ins geschehen 
achja und noch toller ist es dass du trotz dieses tollen werks schon soviel dazugelernt hast dass dus alles nochmal besser machen willst °___° da bin ich mal gespannt was noch kommen wird *O*

very beautiful picture
I love the scenery of the big city and the girls softly wavering hair.
the only thing i'd miss would be a little bit of rainbow coloured reflection on the bubbles. they don't really look like soap bubbles.
but overall very beautiful athmosphere

It's still awesome, it has a dampening mood but the bubbles uplift it. Lovely idea.
