3rd one of the emoticon series.This time:
Size: 4.5cm (1.77") in diameter
The 3D effect on the eyes was accidental, but I kinda like it.
And the mouth could have been placed a row lower, but it looks similar enough, I guess. (maybe next time
)Can you guess which one will be up next?

with my lacking discipline, I've ended up with 4 unfinished crafting projects. 3 crochet dolls and 1 sewed orca. should really get to working on them again. though at the moment I'm working on another doll for a friend...
but I have one finished plushie that should be up in a week or so (need to mail it to the one who gets it as a present, so I can't upload it until it's there).

how do you make them turn out so accurate??

how? hmm... I just look at the dA emoticons for reference and then I try to recreate the facial expressions as closely as possible. mostly trial and error. for the eyes of this one I needed several attempts to get the size right.
and the one I'm working at right now: I have scrapped the mouth 3 times already. I hope that my newest idea will work...
and the body is a simple ball pattern I found for free online somewhere. I use it as base for them all.
I do hope that if I make one of them a second time, I'll be able to do them faster. after all, the trial and error phase would be gone.
