Description
Okay, so since I'm not sure about selling my emotes, I thought I'd at least make the pattern(s) available. This PDF has the patterns for 8 of the emotes I've done so far:
For the two I haven't included, I can't remember the patterns of the facial parts (that's what I get for not writing them down right away
More emoticon crochet patterns:
EDIT:
Whoops, noticed a little mistake in my wording for the assembly of
Nothing too wild, the old patterns work just as well.
EDIT 2:
You guys are crazy, you know that? Another DD?
Happy to know they're so well received, though. Hope you enjoy.
And many, many thanks.
The Emoticon Project: [link]
Patterns free to use. Have fun.
(If you've made emote plushies using my patterns, I'd love to see them and if you upload photos, please credit me and link to this deviation. Thanks.)
No selling - either of the pattern or of the finished emotes!
I don't do it, you don't do it.

Thanks for the patterns it's a cool idea!! I just didn't understand why you use correction stitches... - beginner's question? -

Hey, sorry for the late reply... RL is kinda preventing me from going through my inbox daily...
Correction stitches are just something I do. I'm not sure if it is common for other crocheters...
Why do I use them?
Because when you crochet in spirals, the beginning of the round slants to the side, so the more rounds you do, the earlier the round seems to start. If you do rather complicated patterns that needs certain increases/decreases/etc. at certain places, without the correction stitches the end product would look twisted. Also, due to the moving start of the round, if the piece you crochet is long and narrow, at some point you'll be back at the beginning with 1 round less than the pattern stated.
With my emotes, that's not really a problem, because there are no specials in a simple ball. And the one round you might loose shouldn't make the ball noticably flatter. But for me it's just so normal to use those correction stitches that I use them with all my creations.
Does this help?

Wow... sorry for the VERY late reply. I'm just starting to clean up my inbox, since I haven't been that active for months.
Was there something in particular you need help with? I'd be better able to help with specific questions.

Kein Problem.
Was genau verstehst du nicht?

Also:
zunehmen = 2 Maschen in 1, da hattest du recht.

jup klingt gut.

I used Schachenmayr Catania, and I'm pretty sure the color for the light green one was #0260 (pale green).
I just love working with cotton yarn.
good luck with the little fellow. will you post pictures when he's finished?
