Description
Art for my book, Hawk Divine. Now available in paperback and on Kindle.
As I move I feel I am a tree filled with chattering sparrows, then a dandelion seed floating in the wind. I am rooted, then uplifted: feather, moss, then stone. My bare feet tingle as I spin on the warm grass. I hear a guitar join the rhythm. I am a buzzard circling high in the sky. I am worms wriggling in the roots of wild garlic. I am a droplet of morning dew trembling in a spider’s web.
As I move my body to the playful tune I am lost in all this wonder, I feel life pulsing through me. I spin and spin and spin, rocked in the arms of a goddess. Her hair is forest thousands of miles wide, her skin a desert at sunrise. The oceans of the world pulse in her veins and she smiles. Oh how she smiles! Sirius sparkles in her eyes. From her womb spirals out the evolution of life, like a polyp; countless tendrils of countless creatures birthing and dying into each other, like every cell in my own singular finite form. -- Water and Dust Walking (Isis), Hawk Divine
Written and fully illustrated by yours truly, Hawk Divine features my eight Egyptian Gods portrait series, as well as previously unseen work. Eight short stories unfold in a modern context, exploring aspects of each of the eight deities presented. Syncretic, supernatural and definitely different, I really hope you enjoy it!

shame that some Islamic fuck-jobs had to use her name for a terror organization. A beautiful woman, and goddess tainted by terrorists.

Exactly! Also it sucks even more I keep on occassion find terrorist jokes on drawings on Isis, the egyptian goddess. Which is just tasteless and obviously she has NOTHING to do with those assholes.

P.S. How do you feel about your art being used for tattoos? THAT is how much I love your work!

That's quite a compliment So long as you give me credit as the artist who designed it to anyone asking, and you send me photos of the tattoo, with your permision to show it off, I would be happy for my work to be used for tattoos.

Gorgeous painting of Isis! Love all of your art. Anubis is spectacular! My wish list would be to see you bring Akhenaten to life (even though he's not a deity).

Thank you very much, glad you feel that way Akhenaten is an interesting one, I might be tempted to do something with him at some stage.

Aside from how awesome Isis looks, I really like the background behind her.
