Then I looked into his eyes. They were fierce, like the eyes of a jackal. What I said to him I have forgotten, my attempts to get him away from me all in vain. His grip was strong and his gaze stronger. As he spoke to me his words blossomed in my head, transforming into images of snakes and birds, of giant self-transforming flotillas and beings so immense I was as an ant before stars and nebulae. -- A Light in the Darkness (Anubis), Hawk Divine
Written and fully illustrated by yours truly, Hawk Divine features my eight Egyptian Gods portrait series, as well as previously unseen work. Eight short stories unfold in a modern context, exploring aspects of each of the eight deities presented. Syncretic, supernatural and definitely different, I really hope you enjoy it!

For some reason, I'm so so glad your writing on him isn't the typical anubis "god of death, fear me" drama you see all over pop culture and the internet -- but then again, you're hardly usual at all!
