Description
Art for my book, Hawk Divine. Now available in paperback and on Kindle.
'When you rise from death it changes you. You have touched more reality than most are prepared to face. Though all must. All do. You will gather yourself, thought and bone, and know that all the universe is but one magnificent beating heart. One thing becoming infinite things, forever.' -- Blessed by Becoming (Osiris), Hawk Divine
Written and fully illustrated by yours truly, Hawk Divine features my eight Egyptian Gods portrait series, as well as previously unseen work. Eight short stories unfold in a modern context, exploring aspects of each of the eight deities presented. Syncretic, supernatural and definitely different, I really hope you enjoy it!

Osiris seems a bit of a strange figure. I saw little to like until I read the Book of the Dead.
Thank you for your kind words

No problem
And because I follow actual Egyptian religion, I just wanted to say that I usually worship Horus and Ra-Horakhty, and sometimes Isis. If you want to know anything more about this, just ask me. I will explain everything

Thank you for the offer, I tend to follow my own way rather than any prescribed religion, but Sekhmet has called to me in particular, as has Horus. I may well have questions for you

^ totally agreeing. Dogmas are simply the training wheels of the rickety do-it-yourself bicycle that is the human capacity for critical and independent thought.
Sekhmet's an interesting choice of patron. My sister's with Sekhmet; there's just sth wild and free about Sekhmet that I feel helps artists create explosive works.
but I'm with horus, or at least, the aspect of him i commune with. The guy's truer than an arrow.

Nice I was thinking about worshiping Sekhmet, but it was just, you know, not for me.

For this I started out with a rough idea/vision and then painted it all in photoshop.
Glad you like it Do Egyptian people still connect with their old gods very much?

All the better to see into your soul my dear.
He's going to get a bit more work done on him soon, I had to abandon him at this stage to go work on other things, but had put so much work in I wanted to show him off anyway
