I generally don't mind them. They're good for causing infights, and they're a very satisfying target for the double-barrel shotgun.

Or that one room where you see the launcher. Go to grab it suddenly shotgunners everywhere. Kill them go to grab their stuff when suddenly, walls behind you drop lost souls and chaingun shenanigans galore.

Chaingunners became even worse in Brutal Doom, since they no longer hurt each other for some stupid reason.

yea I can see, Chaingunners use only hitscan and the way the AI works, it's a bad combo.

You can't dodge hitscan unless multiplayer+ping issues, other than that, you can't dodge 'em.
