During the events of Season 2, Slade focused all on his energies in turning Terra to the side of evil. Of course, in the DC Unlimited continuity, he had a great benefactor. Behind closed doors, Slade had allied himself with Lex Luthor. Equipping Slade with his armies, and the neural technology for him to use in order to control Terra. In Luthor's mind, this partnership benefited him greatly. True, in giving weapons to a masked criminal did present some threats to his image, and give the authorities to investigate in his affairs, but the gain from all this, is even if Slade fails in his mission to tear down the Titans, Luthor still wins because with Terra under Slade's control, a hero from The Teen Titans turning bad would have the public mistrust in the team and possibly any other heroes. Proving in his argument that these metahumans, these freaks as he calls them, are never to be trusted by the people again.
