Description
One of the constant themes I'm adding to Teen Titans is overcoming fear. In this, it's Terra, during the season 6 pitch, and in the following movie Knightmare, she deals with the fear of herself, or rather the person she allowed herself to turn into. She's afraid of the pain she knows she's capable of, because of how her powers were used and how easily manipulated she was at the hands of Slade. This is the key reason why she didn't want to remember her past in the conclusion of the Teen Titans series, not just because she is done with the super-heroic life, but because she knows the pain she caused, not only that, the world wouldn't forgive her so easily, buying that much into Slade's toxic rhetoric. However, suppressing memories and seemingly not taking responsibility for your actions isn't exactly the healthiest way to live. Sooner or later, Terra will have to answer for her actions, and embark on a journey of self redemption.
