Part of the DC Unlimited Continuity, this was one of Batman's first encounters with Minerva Colter: the girl who would take up the mantle of Renegade (Played by Lisa Isaribi). After freeing her from the Mechanical Crow, Batman and the Outsiders took her in. He saw the pain and loss of innocents in her eyes. What the Crow forced her to do. Batman offering a hand of help, he said "It's not too late. We can fix this...Together." Minerva then shed a tear as one had really given her the option to be a better human being before. It was at that moment that Minerva not only met Batman the legend but also Batman the compassionate human being. At times he can seem to be a cold and distant S.O.B. , but in the same breath he's still a man who is capable of feeling for others. That's what separates him from his enemies. His ability to be a compassionate human and care for those who were wronged before. And this is the moment Minerva decided to dedicate herself to be a hero. Just like Batman.
