jark — Why Did Angelo Hurt You?

Description *UPDATE*: The image has been updated to one modified by *lorrainemd which helps depict the emotion much better. I can not thank her enough for the wonderful help she has provided me in allowing the statement to have that much more clarity.

why have you been hurt by the guy from Los Angeles , who taught me a few Greek words while he was welcomed in our home in Japan, and stayed here for a week which ended up with him befriending me, only to stab you in the back?

... was it business?

... was it personal?

... was it for money?

... was if for power?

... was it greed?

... was there an honest reason?

... why have you been hurt?

... all i want to know is why, daddy?

your pain is too much for me to handle and i can not keep it inside any longer ...

*DISCLAIMER*: this deviation is in no way to be considered a personal attack on any of the parties involved in "this situation." it is merely here to depict the unintended consequences of ones actions; those that are never considered when decisions are made and implemented. this image is not staged and is not intended to be used as some way to rally the masses; art is emotion and this is nothing but pure, raw, emotions pouring out of someone affected by this severity of the situation.

Well, I've seen this pic about for a while...but only now have I realised that I havent actually commented on it so...

And I gotta say, that this one makes me feel physcially sick, that on any matter, any topic, anyone can use their own children as puppets in order to gain sympathy or to achieve whatever motive there was.
Ok, even if this kid was crying over the topic, sure, thats sad; but that is no reason whatsoever to say 'hold it', take a picture, and post it on an art community for the sake of an argument like this.

So, any sympathy that was gained for mr jark guy here, was propelled out of the window pretty damn fast when I saw this.

lol, up yours to jark and spyed
both manipulating bastards

Yes, and go back to his fathers day entry for 2004, where he oh so lovingly says, and I quote directly FROM the entry, "...and a son who is fucking up so much that he deserves getting his chest caved in?" The date on that is Journal Entry: Sun Jun 20, 2004, 5:40 AM

When I first came to Da, I was curious about who Jark was, so I went to his page and perused his gallery, then his journal. When I ran into -that- little gem, I've never liked him since.

Dude, when I saw someone had replied to this, I laughed, and was curious what they said...and its real cool that SOMEONE ELSE ISNT OBSESSED WITH SAINT JARK.

lol

But if you want a laugh, then look up above my post at all the people who ignored it.

Nice one dude

It's not far after your comments to him. Or you could visit suitcase's activity and read what all he had to say to him. I'd link it, but I have a crappy comp. Takes forever to load on this one. If you don't find it, however, let me know and I'll be glad to dig them up.

Jesus, just seeing that pic of a child being affected by an adults' selfish action just makes you wanna throw something. i honestly hope that all goes well for you man. a lot of us support you, and i think there is a good reason for that. DA is somewhere where artists can go and show their work to many people, and get useful feedback. it is a place of escape for some, where they can get comfort in the comments and support of other people. i am sure many people are thankful for it, and you being one of the founders, and someone who is in need of support, are certainly not lacking it now. good luck man.

I wrote the previous comment out of anger at seeing a child upset about his father's business. but now that i have actually put a little thought into it, i would like to say something to you jark. it is unfair to your son to be using him, i repeat using him, for your own means. it is selfish, and frankly quite stupid. i am admittedly quite young to be saying this, cause i don't have a child of my own, but if i were a responsible, caring father, i would not post a picture of my child on the internet and use him for my campaign against someone else. true what spyed did to you is inexcusable, but also is your use of your grief-stricken child. i have lost a hell of a lot of respect for you. i have to agree with ~subtlerevolutionist (see above) about this. you have no right to exploit your child's care for you. if i found out that my dad did something like this, i would be furious, and i would never forgive him. i guess it's too late for you though.

Well... I guess if someone else would have posted this picture, most of the members here would have thought it to be a great picture.

In regards of art - I like it. The missing of color, the expression and the photo itself. Of course, the discussion is open whether you think it to be appropriate to portrait your child like that, or not. I guess it also plays a big role, that YOU post this picture with this headline. I admit, that the title can seem provocating, but it doesn't have to be. Most of the time, it seems, you are saying things exactly in a way - that it is not entirely clear how you mean it. Either you do not want to clarify your thoughts, or you just don't care how strangers interpret them.

I do not know the details of what had happened here. Thus I am only a watcher. I don't know you, or Angelo, nor any motives or problems. I am just a normal user, one of thousands here. I only think it is rather sad, that most of the members here take sides. Of course it is normal to side with a friend... but I am a person who rather prevers to get to know both sides. Humans are not perfect, they do make mistakes. However, I also do know the suffering you can experience because of 'friends'' behavior. You trust those people and are often willing to accept a compromise, just to keep the friendship. But sometimes... there is a difference between business and friendship. I don't know what are the exact words, but there is a saying that you should never combine friendship and business. Maybe they're right... I dunno, I have not yet made such an experience.

I'd just love to get more details on everything. Most people are now complaining that this community here is breaking apart - but partly it is also their fault. They accuse the ones, who side with Angelo and vice versa. But the main problem is - there is just gossip and the ones who know what had happened, cannot talk about it. I am, by no means, trying to blame someone or to accuse someone. This here is just my opinion.

I guess you could have avoided this discussion by giving the picture another name - but maybe you just kinda wanted to 'provoke'? One mean of art is also: provocation.

Blah... and sorry for my rambling here

This piece reminds me of a sculpture series my dad did when I was small called "father's hope chests". The pieces were about things that my dad didn't want to happen to my sisters and I. The color scheme really sets a depressing mood that claws at you heart strings like a monster from a nightmare.

...It's a good picture, I can get the emotion across -- while I'm not exactly sure on the case with you and spyed -- I still respect you both as artsits.

What it is ...

Heh, I'm rambling, but I was saying that some people may see it as the truth, some may people may see it as sympathy...but it's art to me. A deep piece of art.

Propoganda or the truth -- we all have different prespectives...thus, that's what makes this art. We see different things of it.

And that is that.

Well, it is from what everyone is saying. Don't forget to read the submission policy, it is a real knee slapper...not. I think that $spyed likes to blow hot air up our asses about community love....next thing you know deviantArt is like pBase. $Chaaaaaa-Chiiiing$.

I can "imagine" someone saying, "son you are sitting on a goldmine, but you need to remove the opposition" (Jark?). Similar to Sun Tzu's "The Art of War", eh. Just like the very nature of a Ninja?

Anyway, I'm just going somewhere else, not that anyone really cares.

You say that this is about community, but in the end, all you do is destroying the very same. If you really do love this community and this side, then you (both parties) should make your war NOT on "our" back. Its irresponsibel, unprofessional and in a way disgusting. Pity.

The picture as such is great, but what you do with it isn't.

Living in a country divided by it's history teached me some things. Everyday someone in this f**king country pays for mistakes, someone else made 60 years ago. It's sad to see that people do not learn from history, even when it's only in cyberspace.

No, I don't belittle his love or his commitment, I know it's his baby in a very special way, but I hope he will understand, that the end doesn't justify the means. And it's the community, he so highly talks about, that will pay the bill. Don't divide in projark or prospyed, because it will be difficult to become a whole functioning community after this foul episode.

Holy shit... Grow some freakin' gonads, hire a lawyer, and get deviantART back if that is what is really bothering you here. So some guy who is stuck in his own fortune hunting back stabbed you. Join the fucking world. I was forced to quit a job because of someone back stabbing me. I didn't go around the place and ask the customers to get my job back for me. So you say it is personal, yeah, such is life. So Spyed came into your home and became what? Family or something? From your post on your web page it sounds like you never even fully trusted the guy. So whats so shocking?

I can't believe you used your son to gain sympathy from all of us deviants. Fight the fight your self you pathetic coward... don't rely on us to do it for you... especially when you haven't even given us any information. You expect us to blindly support you and fight DA when you give us nothing? Not one damn explination. You say that what happened is out there and we have to search for it? What bullshit... TELL US WHAT FUCKING HAPPENED AND MAYBE THERE WOULD BE SOMETHING FOR US TO FEEL SORRY FOR!

Untill then, shut the hell up. That is one thing I can say for Spyed.... at least he isn't feeding us useless shit.
