Description
I've punched in the word "misunderstood" in the dA search and I come up with stamps proclaiming how insert-animal-here is more misunderstood than wolves. With that in mind, I have come to the inescapable conclusion that wolves are in fact the best-understood animal of all.

it's kind of the same with pitbulls and staffys. They aren't misunderstood, they just have a bad reputation and the breed is judged for it. They're generally unpredictable and more aggressive than most dogs, but just because lots of them are human-friendly, doesn't make them misunderstood.
Wolves. What the heck is there to be misunderstood about? They live in the wild, tend to stay away from humans but can attack them and kill them if they tried. I fail to see what's so misunderstood

Well, from what I've heard, you're more than likely to be killed by your dog than you are to be killed by jellyfish, octopus, or sharks.

Hmmm... I don't know about that, the animal doesn't have to physically attack a person to kill them. It's how a lot of people get killed by deer; when driving, deer may jaywalk across the road, and people do what they can to avoid them and wind up crashing.

I wouldn't say they're the least misunderstood, just among the least misunderstood (one could easily argue that Humans are the least misunderstood, since we're technically animals, too)

If this is meant serious, then sorry, I don't agree. The wolf is both one of the most loved, and most hated animal. Where I grew up, the general belief was that "Wolves are mindless killing machines, they will come to your house and eat your children, we must exterminate them at all costs, they're the devil's incarnationblablah" so yes, the wolf would be one of the most misunderstood, on both sides with either "Wulfs are harmless and cutey and Im frends with them bcuz they feel i'm a wulf yaddayadda" and the "Wolves are the devil's incarantion, kill them all!!!!" Sucks to be one, really. But if we're simply talking about which animals needs to be saved, then yes, there are hundreds of other species out there more important of saving than the wolf.
