April looked back as she shouldered the last of her possessions that she was taking from her last home. Twice this year she had moved from one place to another. It was funny that it was more than twice…. No … more than that, that her world was turned upside down. Her resolve hardened as her expression. This was just a place she was leaving. She was never going to be staying at her aunt’s forever. She will get her father back & she would get her life back. April looked up at the skyline almost like habit now. She was secured with the large green presence of a certain guardian. Her closest friend… her closest….she shook that thought. No one can protect her now except her clan, her family… those who hide in the shadows as she does. She swore to get her father back, but more importantly, she swore to learn to protect herself & her brothers. She looked back to make sure no one was following her. She was on the run. An innocent person now a fugitive from criminals. Luckily, as she felt his protective presence brush her side, she had him & he had her.

I am super sorry but I have been doing killer thesis & papers for my classes. I thought I was going to be able to make time this weekend but if anyone had an audio book of Thick Black Theory, & then I would have. However, I did this quick sketch during a break & thought I download it here. I am super sorry, but I will do more art as soon as I can. I love this couple so much. D&A forever!
