Description
I have this idea for a fan-story where they live in a mutated world. Where the Kraang have taken over Earth, cities of the elite are up in the sky, & pockets of poison gas float about the surface of the Earth. Mutants are the common norm & regular humans are a rarity in the ruins of Old New York & most cities.

Her father was a spokesman for rights for all & was gunned down by the Foot on orders form the Kraang.

Hamato Yoshi (aka Master Splinter) takes in the little orphan April. Knowing that the dangers of an un-mutated child would make her a target....actually that & because he felt a tug in his heart as he gazed to her wide blue eyes as she hugged his leg.

Despite being wanted for a personal agenda from The Shredder, Master Splinter is well protected & is considered a hero to many of the inhabitants.

Not even the Foot will set foot in the sewers. The sewers is a haven for all mutants. Pockets of towns in the sewers, like an underground metropolis. The surface of the Earth tingles with strange life that has sprung from the mutagen.

So he takes little April down to the depths of the sewers.... where he will introduce her to his young sons. His mutant turtle sons.
He feels April hold tighter to his tail as they descend into the tunnels... she looks back to the daylight disappearing behind them. A soft smile touch his face. Then she runs up to him holding out her arms with a quivering lip. "Up...please." He scoops her up as she snuggles into his furry neck. "Is this place too scary." He asks in concern, she shakes her head, "No..." then looks up again & then hugs tighter, "YES!" she whines into his fur.

He hums a little melody, rocking her a bit in his arms as they disappear into the darkness.

So I sketched this up with that story in mind...I don't know..I like the idea that there is a mutant world & that Master Splinter with his five children try to make it in a mutant world.... also raising little April as a Kunoichi
