Description This took an odd amount of time even though Staci's design is actually really, really simple. I actually had to do some edits to her Knight form because I noted some parts that didn't quite flow too well (like her cloak coming from under her tunic rather than her breastplate. I figured it would be more comfortable that way, and because I had to shift the cloak area, I tossed in a belt at her waist to better keep the silhouette. Staci's design is very simple, so I was trying to keep it visually interesting, though I'm not sure how well that worked out.

Also, for a couple of reasons, I took a look back and updated her appearance slightly by adding visible lower lashes and making her ponytail slightly softer than the sharp spikes and overall kind of messy look I've been drawing so far. This was done in an effort to clean up and distance her design from that of Chrome Dokuro, which was the character her design was based off of. I tend to do a lot of Generic Anime Face (TM), so this reference sheet series is my attempt to circumvent that somewhat by calling attention to character design details.

This looks awesome! I gotta say, the detail (new and old) really give her a sense of character. That, and just her posture and supposed demeanor really help too. I especially like seeing the cape flow from below her tunic like that. Gives her a really unique look I don't see in most other characters. Excellent work as always.

Staci's pose was a bit hard to nail down. I sacrificed seeing her upper arms in the pose for getting her in a pose I knew I wouldn't regret.

How was she harder to nail down?

Hmm, medium difficult, I think. I needed a suitable magician pose that doesn't use dynamic motion, so I simplified a few ideas.

Neato. And a magician's pose works for her, given her profession.

Yup! I eventually settled on this pose after browsing a little through references and mi XD ed it with the first drawing I did of her. I like to think my perspective is better now.

Agreed. Plus, I just love the silhouette of her cape.

Glad you liked it. Staci is actually going to be very intriguing to draw in full colour.

Because of the nature of her attire and powers, I thought it would be cool for the patterns on her leggings to move when she did. Because of that, she's probably going to be easier to draw, honestly. Just need to keep a template of her tunic and leggings. Keeper!Kazi is actually not that difficult once you get used to it. I'm still beating my head over why I chose to give Elise as much detail as I did, so it's no problem.

I'm not sure if I'm ever going to do the Blessing!Knights in any reference sheet, to be honest. There's a part of them that I can't get right unless I do it with colour, and I suck at it.

Really? I thought making kazi a mix of samurai and monk was something even I couldn’t envision in its entirety.

I've drawn him before, so I'm hopeful that I can replicate it without messing it up. He's got a level of complication to him, but according to your descriptions, I should be able to piece it together again, so no worries!

Nah, don't worry about it. Most of my problems come from myself overcomplicating things anyway.
