Description
For a number of years I've guested at Auto Assembly (Europe's largest Transformers convention) with a host of comicbook artists, writers and voice actors who have worked on TF over the past 25 years. This year, Gregg Berger, the voice of Grimlock in the G1 Transformers cartoon, attended the show and I thought it would be a good opportunity to do a Grimlock piece since I've never drawn him!I thought I'd have a shot at re-designing him to fit with the movie characters, and this is how I'd like him to look. I wanted to get a design of his robot mode done for the con but ran out of time, maybe I'll do it in the future if I get a slot in the schedule!
A big thank you to the fans who liked this piece! I took a load of prints of it to the show and sold every single one of them! Cheers, guys!

Whoa, that looks so bad ass. Usually I say I find robotic dinosaurs cheesy, but if they do Grimlock like this... I'd pay full price.

Yeah and if he and the other Dinobots are not in the 3rd movie or given the respect they deserve, I don't think it will turn out well.
I think the fans would snap and go into a rage. Personally, I think they should wait until the 4th or 5th Transformers movie to introduce Unicron.
The Dinobots should be the main focus in the next film. Also, I would like to see Blitzwing & Lugnut.

Well, I admit I'm not a big fan of the Dinobots *hides from incoming bricks*, but I love this concept. The amount of details is just too fantastic not to look at.

I'm planning on doing Grimlock's robot mode at some point, not sure if I'm going to have time to do any of the others although I'd like to do them all!

If enough people want them I think Bay will listen but I'm just afraid they won't resemble the Dinobots we know and love very much. Grimlock would probably be a jeep or something...

np, perhaps I will go to an AA next time. I don't really have an inclination to go to the UK as I am gearing up for a third US trip and I may not even go to another Botcon, it was one of those, 'it's the 25th annoversary' things and I feel it was a one off for me. Great drawing though, keep up the great work, maybe we can see some more Dinobots?

Yeah, he does a little! All the Autobots in the movies so far have been whiter than white and vehicular based.. so he'd probably look more like a decepticon, I imagine. Grimlock sometimes had blue, sometimes red eyes (my toy had red) depending on where you looked... I'd like to think people would take him seriously looking if he looked like this and not some kind of comic relief character!
