Here are some of the graphics that I have designed for AveDesk and AveScripter.Info:
AveDesk is a desktop enhancer created by Andreas Verhoeven. AveDesk allows pretty icons and so-called widgets (mini-applications) to be added to Windows desktop.

First I have a Mac and Ive been a Mac user for some years now. If you don't like AveDesk then don't use it, very easy.

I'm glad you have a mac.
It's not that I don't like the program, is just that I have so much "mac pride" that I think that if windows users really think they are better, they shouldn't copy macintosh apps. As simple as that, I can't avoid it, after being told windows was better so many times, I developed a microsoft hate.

Mac pride? How pompous. It's an OS for Chrissake, people can use whatever OS and applications/modifications they wish.
Mac only users are typically the ones with the superiority complexes in my experience. It's not like macs don't use some windows type programs anyways.
Sorry to rant at you, but this Mac vs. Windows polarization crap is getting on my last nerves. I use both and neither one is better than the other.

Look: pride is just something you can't avoid, you just can't deny it, even if I really wanted to, there is no way.
Yes we use some windows programs, I have office because I needed to have something that pc's would read, since pc doesn't recognize most mac stuff.
Windows uses mac programs too, like itunes, but it is different, those are not copies, those are just programs that were modified later to be compatible with other systems as well.

Perhaps pride for a home team or nationality, but I really don't have any pride for the tools (computers) I use personally. They are just that to me, tools. But I see where you are coming from.

Hm... I meant: if you love widgets enough to reach the point of copying them and giving them other name, then, it is because you really love them. So, if you like them that much, you will get all bubbly with the mac, yays?
Nah, actually, you should buy the mac concerning every aspect, except games, in that case, just go for windows since it has loads of more games and with lots better quality and velocity.
Do you need to swear to make me see your point of view? You can just write what you think, that will work better if what you want is to say something that actually has a meaning.

Avedesk rocks! Been using it for awhile now. Is the desklet with the Gorillaz Demon Days stuff (I'm assuming a lyric finder) released? If so can you send it to me? Pleeeaase?!

Yeesh, people. The similarity to OS X widgets is ONLY because a lot of people want them to look that way! Avedesk and Avescript and Systats can handle any images.... you just have to make the images that way. Avedesk is not "just" to imitate OS X Dashboard. It can, and people make widgets so that it does, but it is capable of way more than just imitation.

Guys don't hate on the open source developers. I for one support kol, ave and the gang on their great development here. Its amazing worth, regardless of the similarities to the macosx widgets. Nice post kOL

Superb. How do you load up those Avescripter desklets though? I don't see an option in the Avedesk menu (and yeah, I've installed Avescripter properly). thanks Kol

Once you install AveScripter you should have them in the Add windows. There is a submenu under AveScripter.
