Inturpritation of a gothic style unicorn. I hate the new-age kind of unicorns, big white horse with a horn... that's SO a 20th century perversion of the mythology. Unicorns historically represented a lot of things including sodomy, death, distruction, wickedness, and the vices. They weren't always smiles and sunshine.So, in honor of that long and sometimes dark history. Here's a black Uni'. My desperate attempt to break the mental and creative block I've been suffering for the last two weeks.

Hey that's pretty cool, I didn't know that at all. I'm glad you took a step to sort of 'inform' people through art. The composition is really interesting and the colors are amazing. Nicely done. =] I have to ask though, do you remember what book this was? It sounds interesting.

The idea of a gothic unicorn is so coooool! (sorry this is such a late post, I'm new) I just LOVE that pose, the body looks almost human and with the blade like hooves and horn it swort of looks like a weapon .. in a diving shape and I love it's colour, it's all just so fantastic! I'm favouriting this, nice job

Woah. It's nice to see unicorns like that nowadays. Unicorns have such a silly reputation now. I wish there were more people that realised unicorns aren't delicate-looking horses with horns on their heads. Very nice picture, I'm going to favourite it!
