I had to delay finishing a lot of the work I did for an art challenge last month because I was having tablet issues but now I'm back and I'd like to submit one each day now until finished and then I'll do a journal citing the challenge.But yeah: I fucking love Hamlet. Tennant's is definitive; that whole production was by far the best damn Shakespeare I have ever seen... that and the ending portrayal of King Lear in Slings and Arrows- lord does that old man make me sob, actually the guy on Slings and Arrows who plays Geoffrey when he does Ophelia's bit is pretty tear jerking too .
Might polish this more later.
Total time: about 2 hours.

I never read Hamlet in high school and was so mad, but when I found out David did the role in a movie, I had to see it! And then it made me want to read the play (which I finally did) *hit with a brick*
and now I cannot see anyone else playing those parts, and I just listened to the film while I read the play! Everyone was perfect!

Tennant's version was so amazing. I loved it most because the whole cast was so brilliant. I still can't get over how well Gertrude was acted.

I know, they were all perfect. And finally someone does Claudius like a dark as hell villain genius politician and not a rather bumbling man whose greed got away from his intellect. The Ophelia was also my favorite, well all of them were my favorite and the set and lighting, everything, everything, everything

Yes, yes, yes. I liked that I finally had some respect for Ophelia. I loved that this production actually focused on the acting, rather than spending too much on the sets or costumes.

Hamlet is fucking amazing probably my favorite play ever. It's why I'm an English major pretty much. Shakespeare was also a pervert and I love that too
