Description
These are some Popeye sketch cards that I drew for The Chicagoland Entertainment Collectors Expo (CECE) for their Treasure Chest of Art charity event. [link] I was able to draw anything I want, since the proceeds were going to charity. Popeye was a natural choice.Related content

These are WONDERFUL!!! I bought sometime ago the Popeye DVD vol. 1 and still need to watch the rest of it. The special features really add that extra dimension to watching the shorts. Highly recommended that you go and buy it.

The Jeep is adorable, of course, but I always had trouble liking Bluto's design before. You did a fantastic job with the man! Popeye looks awesome. It's hard to tweak the original design without making him look either watered down, or grotesque. You somehow managed to make him look more sleek and neat, design-wise, yet keep him looking his ever wicked cool self. Love this!
