I loved Tarantino and Rodriguez's double bill "Grindhouse" and especially enjoyed Tarantino's half, "Death Proof." And for the longest time now I've had this notion to draw a tribute to it using Dead Duck and Zombie Chick. After I sat down and drew it all out, I grabbed my copy of the "Death Proof" soundtrack to use for reference in drawing the title's lettering. However, the art was so striking that I decided instead to use it in a collage with my cartoon, and I'm pretty happy with the results. If you haven't seen the film, it's about a guy who kills women with his car. I drew Dead Duck in the Kurt Russell "Stuntman Mike" role, Zombie Chick as Vanessa Ferlito "Butterfly" role (the target of Mike's affection and vengence), and myself as the bartender. I don't slip myself into my art very often these days, but this time I figured, what the hell. Anyway, hope you guys dig it.On a separate note, my computer's been acting weird for awhile now and only sporadically allows me to do certain tasks, like uploading images to my e-mail and Deviantart. So it was with much effort that I got this piece up here to show you. Jeez, the effort I gotta put forth I do for my art...

I hadn't noticed it before, but there IS an X up there! I have no idea where it came from! Must have been on the drawing when I scanned it in or something.

It just looks like Dead Duck is telling the Barkeep "That's not really beer.... also she's not really got a pulse, but I still love to put an axe through her face and play an nice record to make her dance." okay after the punch like I kind of got side tracked in my little world, anyway great stuff keep up the greatness!!

I'm not sure which half of the movie I liked myself, but Death Proof was definitely pretty good. I think you captured the feeling of it pretty well.
