To commemorate my favorite month (October) and my favorite holiday (Halloween), I'm doing a monster sketch per day.This is a Piasa Bird. It's a dragon of sorts, considered to be of Native American origin, and mostly known from a mural painted on the side of a bluff in Alton, Illinois. A fan of my work grew up near this mural, and suggested I make it part of my monster sketches. I enjoyed bringing my own take to this beast quite a bit.

I was trying to guess what this was when looking at the image and I wasn't even close
I really love the way this one came out, the expression, the feathering of the wings and the pincer like tail.
