I really like how you did the sand on the ground. It makes her appear to be very fast.

Yeah the sand was quite a tricky one to paint!

Hi- this is stunning.
How did you do the submersion series? Imagined for from a series of photographs. I'm in wonder!

Hello
Thanks you
I did the submersion series form photographs. The idea came across me only because underwater isn't explored too much in painting around my local area and thought i'd give it a try and see what happens .
I didn't want to make it feel like a photograph but ore of a painting on its own.

Thank you Sai!
Yup, I used a photo reference from underwater photographs that my friend helped me with making to do the paintings.
But what was important was to make it into a painting, more than a photograph (Influence Degas who also used photo referencing for some of his work).
And also having a good perception from drawing off life has helped me improve on understanding the body structure a lot more .

i like the painting, but wonder why there is a part in the hair? Her eyes are also shifted to her right.
I get the impression she has just jumped in - she has fear in her eyes.

I like the work from early 1800's like the Pre-Raphaelites and Baroque Period as well. Very good paintings from then
