The first take is here and was inspired by Tales of Berseria characters for some reason.

Why I didn't upload this originally?..

Alright, so, while I was practising my style and trying to make it as sharp as possible, I decided to draw these guys without their helmets again. I'll try to remember my reasoning behind why I decided to give them designs like this...

So, the first one was Axl, of course. And GOSH HE LOOKS SO CUTE HERE AHHJDJDHHS

I finished drawing him in the evening so the lighting here is different from the rest. Axl's hair is actually a wierd subject for me as I always seem to not be able to think of how the back part of his hair always stands up like that. I don't think you need a logical reason here so let's say it always stays up no matter what, unless they're soaked to the... ehm... metal bones?

The hair that is always covered by his helmet is a bit more timid but it's messy. He also has chopped eyebrows (Also everyone has eyebrows in my interpritation, aside from the "odd ones" like Lumine. Eyebrows just make everything that more expressive!). My reasoning here is that they got damaged when Axl got his scar.

Also his ears look more like Zero's (from Zero-series) ears without helmet covering them up. This will make more sense in theory why Axl is designed with those huge white ears (aside from obliviously trying to make his silhouette more unique). You might ask "but how would he put his helmet on then if his ears look like this?". My answer will be, the helmet itself probably consist of two separate parts that can be attached to the base parts. Like, he first puts on the ear parts and then the rest of the helmet. Complex? Yeah, but this is how I imagine it. I don't think they can take off their helmets normally anyway.

If I remember right, the next one was X because I knew exactly what to draw.

X's haircut is just an modified version of Rock's haircut. Yes, I'm a fan of X having a black-colored hair, even if the brown one makes more sense because almost every Rockman since X had green eyes and brown hair. Giving the character drastically different hair colors is a sure way to make them stand out even more!

He eyebrows are just Dr. Right's eyebrows, lol.

The last one was Zero then. He recieved two drawings even, woah!

The first one is with his hair still tied in a ponytail. Inspiration for this hairstyle was Zero's hair in Iwamoto's manga, although I gave him Edgeworth's haircut as well, ho. His eyebrows are shaped like that because this drawing Inafune did had them shaped like that , there's no other reason I just didn't know what to really do. You might as why Zero has this huge forehead with a hole in it and it's because I though that this trio, because they all are prototypes of some kind, they all will have their gems installed into their heads, not just helmets. Thay can walk around without them, however, but they can't recieve the damage through those "holes" because Axl fell unconscious once his crystal was smashed in the end of X8, leaving an undentified crystal-like object in his forehead. Zero's forehead look this rough because, well, he might've been a prototype for repliroids if he would've been discovered first.

The second drawing is Zero with his hair loose. Gosh they are long

Also they look messy too for the same reason as Axl. X is the odd one in this case because his hair is much shorter that anybody else's.

Also X has a "hole" too, you just can't see it.
