Description
This was our first project in handbuilding class, and we had to create a container or vessel to hold a personal object, the project was called "Holding your Own." This piece is titled "Icofoagus", because it's a sarcophagus to hold an Ipod.Oh yeah, it upsets me that there isn't a section in artisan crafts for ceramics, but there is for kaleidoscopes and crap like paperweights. ARGH. (Edit: there is now.)

and just think, if some archaeologist finds this in 5000 years, there are going to be hundreds of papers written on how we worshiped small electronic devices who's purpose is, sadly, unknown.

mmm reminds me of a sort of cimilar project we had to do for school, we had to make a box with a patron on it, I made a simple box with a lid on it and the patron on it are egyptian ankhs up and down, linked on eachother

Yep, this one has hiroglyphics on it that say "menu" and "RIP iPod".
