A young copper dragon, Aryss is a headstrong and fun-loving young drake. He met Tracy in the hospital when both were young, both quickly bonding over their shared fear of needles and hatred of anything medical. Tracy taught the copper drake some discipline and patience, and eventually both managed to make a break for it, only growing closer in friendship over their week-long slog through the forests of Celestia to freedom. Though their efforts in the end were all for naught, both being recaptured by an Imperial Navy vessel and a very angry Pieldri, their friendship has remained strong, the two drakes quickly becoming known as the hospital’s resident Houdini’s. A Warlock in training, Aryss has a pact with a goodly fey that has served his family for millennia. Though powerful, his inexperience and enthusiasm can cause highly destructive mishaps if he is incautious. Not helping is the fact that his patron disagrees with Aryss’s attitude towards heath care, and the drake tends to either lose his powers or have them act up at remarkably inconvenient times when trying to escape or resist care (i.e., Wall of Force fails just as doctors are bearing down, Pass Without Trace turns into Dancing Lights or Alarm). For this reason, the headstrong young drake often gets into arguments with his Fey patron Oren’le’Sidhe, usually over the ancient Summer Court baron’s habit of playing nanny.
