The Type-H4 Devastator Cannon is the newest in the line of Type-H4 mounted Dynamic multi-barreled Ion wave cannons,

the original Multi-barreled design of the cannons has been altered to have more firepower than its predecessors,

the older Multi-barreled Ion wave cannons featured 61 individual barrels in one cannon, the new type-H4 Devastator Cannon has

164 individual barrels per one cannon. The type-H4 mounts four of those cannons, giving it a total of 656 ion wave barrels.

other then having more firepower, the cannon is also improved on armor, the Type-H4 line has a heavily armored structure

and is therefore more suited for heavy fire fights, the cannon is therefore categorized as a heavy mounted deck cannon.

the cannon barrels can be set to fire in sync or in a given pattern or just fire individually. Usually the cannons main AI computer

decides how to shoot a target, it can calculate and predict a targets move and make a plan of engagement shooting at multiple

predicted outcomes. The cannon can also be used as a flank caster, multiple cannons in a battery shoot rapid nets of Ion bolts

casting a wall of super heated Ion plasma bolts.

The nick name of the cannon ("Devastator") was given during a presentation of the weapon at a test facility.

during target practice the cannon blasted the stopping walls behind the targets apart, creating a huge hole

in the fortified walls, because of this devastating effect it was nick named: the Devastator cannon.
