Right, so I sketched this one...er...two years ago. X3; (maybe even three...) Can't remember. Though judging by the crappy anatomy I'd say early of two years ago.
At any rate, tis a scene from my fanfic. Tis older Misao and Aoshi, some time before the events in chapter one start. It was inspired by a Nelly Furtado song which title eludes me at the moment....
But yeah I can hear Misao singing that song to Aoshi, basically telling him to freakin' wake up and smell the coffee! Live life man! Give in and love your loved ones! Feel the green of the grass! Okay I'll shut up before I further ruin the mood this pic sets.
But yes, Nelly Furtado's songs are LOVE. 
I'm not sure if I'll ever ink this one and color it. (JB's got sooo many pics she wants to work on...) But I will write the scene some day in the future...*if JB ever gets there...* TT;
Enjoy Misao and Aoshi by a riverbank in summertime. (JB wishes it were summer already...)

I really like this drawing, JBram. The proportions, the framing, the flowing naturalness, is simply stunning. The picture has so much feeling in it, and yet you manage to convey it with only a few simple lines and careful thickining. You are very gifted in your craft and I only hope that I can get to your level of mastery someday. Well done!

Tee hee, yeah, Aoshi does look younger here than how I've drawn him in previous pics. But yesh, that's him. Shin has never worn a western suit. (he'll wear Japanese clothing but not Western ones, that's a bit above his budget. 
Ya know what I like about this pic is that it looks like one of those sketches they use in Disney animation. This is a pencil drawing I scanned and fiddled with on photoshop to make it darker and it ended up looking this way. Now everytime I look at it, it looks like it'll start moving! *JB is tempted to try her hand at animation but she know's she'll screw it up worse...*

I think Aoshi looks better looking younger, o_0, but doesn't everyone?
And I actually noticed how much bigger he looked compared to her and gave you MAJOR credit- I always wondered, "How on EARTH would those two even be able to KISS? I mean, he's so much TALLER than her, it's RIDICULOUS..." So, this is a possiblity ^_^, heh.
I'm sure your writing will be just as lovely, ^_^.
And I'm sure you'd be great at animation, but just warning you, it takes FOREVER, my friend tried *SIGHS* SO much complaining... and it was for like a 5 minute clip... but her program was being crappy also and stuff...
Anyway, this fits also because people always confused Misao as being much younger than she was- she looked like, 11 in Kenshin Kaden, it was ridiculous. I mean she was 21 o_0, yet....
Watsuki even said he drew her with the intent of looking like a 13-year-old-boy, so ya.
But I still love this so, SO much.... *Stares some more*

Ya know it's funny you should mention that about her looking like a boy. When Min first sees her, she thinks Misao's a very pretty boy and gets a crush on her.

I know what you mean by ageless people, I know a guy's who's 25 and looks, like, 16 or 17 *He can't grow facial hair- he complained about it yesterday* and I also know a 16 year old who's been confused as being, like, 27. (Complete OPPOSITE end of the spectrum, but ya.)
This is just sooo pretty ^_^. Lmao, you're just having both the sibilings fall for her, huh? Lol.
And your writing WILL od it justice, trust me ^_^, you're truly one of the best fanfic-writers *I'm not gonna say "authors" just because of the proffensiols like Anne Rice, you know?* I've ever read- and I've read ALOT, at that lately I can't find a SINGLE good fic, but ya....

This is incredibly pretty. I love the way you portray Misao so much! Her dress, her hair... but most of all her hands! They look so delicate and just... ... right (for lack of a better word). Aoshi is as great as ever but if I start gushing over him I'll sit here way into the night.
