Wooot! I updated!
I haven't updated this quickly since last year. 
but those were oekakies I submitted constantly (haven't done one in a while...)Anyhoo, tis lovely gothic lolita Robin Sena from the Witch Hunter Robin anime. One of the few times the main character of a show is my favorite character. I tend to like the unique supporting character in a anime series. Tho I do love her supporting cast, Robin is just too cute and cool to avoid drawing. I had been drawing WHR fanart like crazy over two weeks ago (when I drew this). I was going to have Amon in there originally but in the end decided not to.
I tried drawing her in the WHR style, but somehow this mix of my style and WHR style won out. Weird. I'm aware her dark red coat isn't like that but I was going for a dramatic cape-like flair look. I wanted her sorta...twirling, content looking for sure. Mayhap she's enjoying her powers a bit too much...eep! Oh well, me luvs Robin tons and she can indulge in her fire power all she wants in my fanart.
And yesh, I went nuts with photoshop brushes and filters and tools on that fire. If you asked me to do it again, I'd probably wouldn't be able to.
I had fun, tho I still think that fire's too bright or strong. 
Something but I like the textures. Hope ya guys like!

Wow.... amazing! I love the way you captured her character with the look as well as the fire in the background. It's really "her". I like your version better than the anime. She looks a lot more at peace with herself in this pic (even though it's blazing all over XD) but really she looks a lot more sure of herself and all that.

lol, oh yesh! Master! funny, I thought his name was Harry, but it's not it's just the name of his cafe/bar. In the sub they call him Master. Not sure about the dub since I've only missed three or episodes and I havent' heard them say his name out loud.
Anyhoo! YESH! he's a sweetie! I love the old man. ^.^ tis sad, I love the guy so much and I have yet to see the episode that deals with him and his son. Waah! *coughs* but I'm totally with you. That man is...interesting!

I think the mixing of styles is really good here. I'd like to see what you do with the other characters.
Although I didn't watch more than the first two eps of the show -it was due to lack of interest, but timing. It's beautifully designed in my opinion and like you, I wonder why it didn't catch on.
Maybe too serious and ponderous?

It's a pretty cool storyline...and I agree with you--rarely do I like the main character. >.> I often like the other characters around that lead. The fire reall makes her stand out and is essencial to her character. ^_~

I honestly think that the fire/flames look fine, there not too bright, or too dark, they go very well with the shading on Robin ^_^
You may say that its a mix of the orignal style and your own, but, I've never seen the orignal style, so I really dont have much of an opinion on what is what, but, I can say it looks simply amazing how you drew it. I love the detail in her hair, and in her eyes. There so shiney! I love it!!

I just started watching the anime when they began playing it from episode one and I love it. This is really dynamic JB! The fire adds a wonderful feeling -- xD wonderful warm pyro feeling... lol. Great job ^__^
