Its been months since I've submitted anything on here. I actually did this many months ago, but kept waylaying what to do with it. Oh well. Don't worry folks, this is actually going into my scraps soon, but I wanted some input in the meantime.

Tis my rendition of the Teen Titans cartoon character, Red X. I had a fanfic idea that Red X was revealed to be the long thought dead Jason Todd (Robin II). (actually I read a fanfic like that...wish they'd update it! twas awesome).

I mean, the guy knows a lot of Robin's moves (maybe even Batman's) and Jason was a thief when Batman met him. So it kinda made sense...I figured Red X would be revealed to have been sent by Batman to test Robin's skills and his team of Teen Titans. Never happened. bummer!

At this point I'd love it if DC decided to give Jason the alias of Red X. This is how it could look. He'd be a mix between Red Hood, Batman Beyond, and a dark Robin. Jason was Red Hood, then Red Robin, maybe he decides to be the big Red UNKNOWN in the end. The guy likes to try on other's costumes. He's only missing Batgirl's costume.

Okay, I kid, I kid.

Yes, lame, whatever. It can't be worse than what was done with him in Countdown. Lord was that an overall terrible series. I feel so bad for everyone who kept up with it for the whole year. Talk about a let down... (I only bought one issue, the Gotham in Gaslight one...squee, so pretty).

It really is a shame they had to involve Jason in that and put him in the Red Robin costume. It was just a really weird storyline that instead of improving his character only made it worse. No wonder people want him dead again. 9_9

Anyways, on to the pic itself...

I was trying my hand at American comic book style, or at least a more realistic style. But alas, my anime style still gets in there.

I was also trying to do a muscled body, in the superhero fashion....but yeah, his anatomy annoys me. It really is hard! I'm not sure what it is. Anyone got a clue? I need an extra pair of eyes. I'll have to continue working on it in the meantime. At any rate, here's my first try at male anatomy in a very long time (last time was over 5 yrs ago...)

Twas done on Manga Studio. No pencils were harmed in this process. Just my wrist, which some days still aches. I kinda like the sketchy look. I'm not sure how I'll "ink" it. The sketchy lines mostly helped me map out his muscles. Looked kinda cool, but yeah, Gotta learn to ink it.
