Description

After I shared my most recent drawing of Denise, I mentioned offhand that I had once briefly considered doing an AU project for Nineteen-Ninety-Something that was set in the 1960s. I make so many allusions to the '60s in the strip anyway, and the '90s alternative rock scene owes a lot to the '60s counterculture mentality of "screw the establishment, let's do our own thing". Now that I'd thought about it again, it was too intriguing to ignore this time.

So I drew up what the gang might look like if they lived in the Haight-Ashbury district circa 1967. Not gonna lie, this was a lot of fun to conceive I don't expect this to actually become a comic series (since I have way too damn many of those as it is), but I do think I'll come back to this concept one way or another in the future!
