Description
Three calves of the Blonde d'Aquitaine breed at the farm of our landlords at Lomprez in the Belgian Ardennes.[Actually taken in the wonderful warm colours of the dear old Panasonic FZ10. The Nikon D80 just cannot compare, I must still say to my undeniable disappointment]

Great that you like the three darlings so much.
Just a further suggestion: what about also visiting my other gallery here on dA, if you do not know it already:

That's my camera! I suddenly feel much better about not having a fancy SLR (although I do still want one...)

Yes, life does not start with a SLR! Enjoy yours now, and one day ...

That's really sad that you can't get the Nikon to compare - I have to say I agree from what I've seen so far, and this outshines any picture you'd have got using it! A very expensive mistake, but sometimes, we all do that, and it is very costly!
A great pic of we three blondes!
(We sometimes say our tabby kittie should have been a blonde, she does such stupid things at times! lol!)

Yes, it is quite funny they call these cows "blondes". I suppose that is because of their lovely colour, not their limited intelligence - probably no less than that of the others. In a way these even look brighter than the Belgian Blues. Simply already because they are more lively.
As to the choice of the Nikon, well, I am not yet giving up. And sometimes I am quite content. So it remains a matter of learning ...

Well when I went to you journal yesterday I got quite confused! Some of the ones I really liked seemed a little less saturated, and when I looked, yes, they were by the Nikon. There's quite a big difference between the two, but I think they obviously both have their ++++ points.

lovely- wonderful colour-
ps why dont you try the canon next time you are buying, instead of the nikon- brilliant colours (I use it) and I am sure the DSLR will be the same as the pro1.

Yes, a Canon may be a better choice ... But now it is a long time to go, before a new camera can be bought ... So I must get the best out of the Nikon!
