After a few days of nightmares, King Dedede goes to the planet's fountain of dreams to see what all the trouble is about. Turns out there were nightmares in the fountain. To prevent the nightmares from bothering him again, King Dedede broke the fountains star rod into several pieces......at the cost of everybody's dreams. To, er... protect them, yes! That's what he intended!He gave each piece to people he was in cahoots with. Now he stands at the fountain of dreams to make sure no one attempts to fix it. He can't keep this up forever, can he?
