Description

So, I finally decided on a name for the universe of these Toa: Biolive. Why? Because it's all about that BIO' and less about that 'NICLE.

Name: Styaar

Occupation: Nuva of Artakha

Biography

In the time before the Matoran's time, Mata Nui blessed the works of Artakha the Maker. It was Artakha who forged the great Kanohi Masks and other instruments of power that would aid the first Toa. In time, Artakha's fame would spread throughout the world of Magna, from artisans to opportunist, from kings to warlords. But while nations would rise and flourish, Artakha saw that the future of his kind, the Titans, would come to an end. And so he took on an apprentice, a Matoran named Fernos, to pass down his knowledge to. Fernos would be the first who would learn Artakha's secrets and carry on his legacy (albiet, not to the glorious extent of creating Masks of Power). He would also become the first Toa of metal to and would found the ancient order known as the Knights of Iron, Nuva dedicated to defending Artakha's realm and preserving his secrets.

Styaar is one of the last Knights of Iron who knows the art of forging Protosteel, a powerful allow perfected with Toa energy; It is a dangerous art that few could master since Artakha's passing, and the greatest of those few fell in the War of Shadows. With his knowledge largely incomplete, Styaar pours himself into uncovering the secrets of Protosteel forging. His desire to master the craft is rivaled only by his duty as a Nuva, in which he takes priority despite the forboding knowledge that the art of Protosteel forging may inevitably become lost along with many other treasures of the old times.

Skills, Abilities, and Tools

Styaar wears a partially-complete suit of Protosteel armor, which can withstand even elemental attacks. Like most Knights of Iron, Styaar possesses and wields a variety of weaponry in his arsenal, but his primary choice is a broadsword and shield. Being a Toa of metal has the benefit of not only the power to manipulate metal, but also the experience to analyze weaknesses in metal and weapon integrity. As an craftsman, Styaar's knowledge of structural construction and integrity extends beyond metal, albeit to a small extent as armor and weapons are his primary craft.

The element of Earth in the Biolive Universe is a very broad category that is rarely- if ever- truly realized by Toa of Earth. Most Toa only connect with a single sub-category (dirt, stone, ore, etc), and few if any expand their abilities to include other categories (Tenda has control in dirt and stone, and has been working on crystal).
