A lot of people ask me how I practice and what I do to practice, and what they can do to get better at poses. Well, here it is!
Remember the disclaimer though: This is stylized realistic, my own preferences. But the methods can be used with almost any style and preference.

Hmm I just read through your tut and found it to be very interesting. I like how you classed gestures and poses differently. Sounds like a good practice method. I might gave this a try.

Definitely, when practicing, you want to focus on what you want to work on. If you want to work on movement and fluidity, and you end up spending hours trying to perfect anatomy, you won't get much out of it at all. Same goes for vice versa.

Great job, the idea of thinking of the body as a bean is different I will definitely have to try it out.

Haha of course I wasn't the one who made this discovery, if I was I'd probably be rich..
It's been used by a lot. I just never found a really intricate tutorial on it.

Fantastic! I struggle so much with my characters, trying to think about the best pose to show them, but the answer was way simpler than I thought! It really opened a new world for me, thank you so much for this tutorial. Thank you.
