Description Welcome to the Pip-OS for Rainmeter
With this Skin I tried to recreate the Pip-Boy in-game menu from Fallout 4. It can be resized to almost every size and was intended to work with Tablets

Content:

STAT (Status or Start)
- a simple START Window featuring the well known Vault Boy
- a LAUNCHER set to start Fallout 1, 2, 3, 4, New Vegas and Tactics
- the POWER menu to Shut down / Restart / Log off / Lock the computer
- the SETTINGS to change Skin / OS / Rainmeter preferences

COMP (Computer)
- Hardware Data
- Running Processes
- Energy Management (still curious what powers a Pip-Boy . . . I just took a TX-28 from the original Fallout parts)
- PoseidoNet Connection (because there is no real Internet in the Fallout universe)

DATA
- 4 RSS readers showing different sites and Vault Boys! (Vault Boys are fromΒ fallout.wikia.com/ Β )(can be set with the Pip-OS Settings at STAT)
- Current Weather and 5 Day Forecast (can be set with the Pip-OS Settings at STAT)

MAP
- a Roadmap provided by Microsoft HERE MAPS (can be set with the Pip-OS Settings at STAT)

RADIO
- a simple Media Player Skin
- 6 Radio Stations featuring FalloutFM Radio! (can be set with the Pip-OS Settings at STAT)

Changelog:

Version 1.0.01
- added missing Fonts
- set Windows Media Player as default

Sry but there is no such option right now, it will only show the first 6.

I changed the map location but I lost the weather information. I got a link to a weather website, but the info/stats doesn't appear on the screen, can you help me fix this please.

Maybe I could, but I need a bit more information. What town do you want to display and what code have you entered?

A while ago it was easy to get the code with the weather.com website but it seems that changed. Go toΒ weather.codes/ and try to search it there.

Absolutely amazing! Love it. Just one question, is there a way to have it default to opening on a different "tab" upon loading. I would prefer it to start on COMP every time, so the stats are readily available until I want to switch it.

You would need to edit several Files to make that possible.

1.
/RobCo/resources /Windows-Pad/Group1.inc
replace every Hidden=0 with Hidden=1

2.
/RobCo/resources /Windows-Pad/Group1/Group1_Window1.inc
replace every Hidden=0 with Hidden=1

3.
/RobCo/resources /Windows-Pad/Group2.inc
replace every Hidden=1 with Hidden=0, except for Button Backgrounds and Text2's

4.
/RobCo/resources /Windows-Pad/Group2/Group2_Window1.inc
replace every Hidden=1 with Hidden=0

That would be the way to change the default Tab to COMP, but i don't think that's worth the trouble.

In the launcher option how do I set where the files are?Β

the launcher shortcuts are located in \Rainmeter\Skins\RobCo\resources \Launcher\

if you want to change that folder you will have to go toΒ \Rainmeter\Skins\RobCo\resources \Windows-Pad\Group1\Group1_Window2.inc an edit line 10 "Path="#@#Launcher " " to whatever you desire. Keep in mind that the launcher only shows the first 6 elements of the set Path.

How would I go about setting this up on my Android tablet? Is there a special launcher that RainMeter makes for android? Or are there some other, more advanced, settings that I would need to modify on my tablet OS?

Rainmeter is only for Windows. there is no way to run it on Android, sry.

Oh, ok. You had mentioned in your description that it was intended to work with tablets, so I thought maybe there was some secret Rainmeter app for the Android OS. Did you just mean Windows OS tablets, or something?

Aside from that, it's a great skin setup. Very intuitive; good work. I'm already playing around with it's settings on my computer.

Well my intention was a Skin for Windows Tablets. I would love to see an Android Version of Rainmeter, but i think that will never happen.
