Lyra and Bon Bon belong to Hasbro.
My Little Pony belongs to Hasbro.
The basic animation used here was made by ~monkeyjay and you can find the base for it, and an extensive tutorial here: [link] (as a note, he does not do requests, please don't harass him.)
The time and effort spent to transform a generic grey mane-less pony into this lovely character is mine.

Please don't -- someone paid for this and it would be very terrible of me if I let someone else use it just like that. I"m sorry.

How are you able to combine two trotters side by side like that? D: I want to do that, but I can't figure out how. Plus I want them to be trotting different cycles (desynced that is).

Aw, the inseparable pair. Sitting like that can't be comfortable for her, though. XD

I've seen cats sit like that, and they have a similar joint structure.

Cats and...horses?
...um...cats have much more versatile (and longer) spines than horses, and are capable of a great many feats that horses are not. A horse would never actually be able to sit like that without shattering it's spine and most likely it's pelvis.
That being said, this is a cartoon pony, so of course cartoon physics apply.

Yes, cat, horses and dogs all have a common ancestor.

Horses can be on their backs, and they can bend their necks down to thier hooves. I don't see the issue here.

Their back and hips are bending in completely different ways in those two videos (the first one didn't work-it said malformed id, whatever that means), it'd be physically impossible for a real horse to sit that way, with their legs in that position.
Mind, as I've already stated, we're dealing with CARTOON physics here. She's a cartoon. A real pony probably wouldn't survive getting a piano dropped on it's head either, but Twilight did. Cartoon physics are very different.
That said, bending your neck is quite different from bending your back and hips, hon.

The first one was just a pony playing with a large ball. Cute, but more or less just to show a pony behaving like a kitty or doggy.
It's Lyra's neck that's bending the most in that picture. ITs possible to exten the legs out to be aligned with the back they do that when galloping at high speed or jumping over obsticles.

Even so, the front legs can't be positioned like that. Due to the way their shoulders are aligned, a horse could never reach it's hooves behind it's head (they can bend their heads down between their legs, but its' not the same thing) so she wouldn't be able to put her front legs back aligned with her body like that.
Once again, this is a cartoon. Cartoon logic applies. I don't see why you're even arguing about the sitting position of a cartoon pony that doesn't really exist.
