(hunger games art)foxface...this wasn't (to me) a sad part in the book, but it definitely kind of creeped me out a little. i don't like the thought of someone watching me and not knowing about it...
ok i really am going to try to draw something with a little less death in it...
(and thanks to my sister for being so willing to flop on the floor and play dead so i could draw her)

I guess it could be seen as creepy, because of her essentially stalking them, but to me, it was really sad, especially after reading FanFictions that helped me come to know Foxface better. I really love how you've captured this moment - the innocence, fragility, and vulnerability of it all, captured in her defenceless pose and - my gosh - the EYES. Her eyes just look so dead, lost, hopeless, young ... it's perfect. For someone who says they didn't find the part sad, you certainly have put a lot of emotion into this scene, so congrats to you!

I was speechless. Then I read this and then I knew what I was trying to say. Everyone's a victim in the Hunger Games. I don't think anyone truly wins.

well I guess I never thought of her as vulnerable...she always seemed quietly confident and in control of things...but maybe she was just scared and alone. And thank you so much

This is amazing. Even though its a dead body, therefore morbid, you make it seem so peaceful and beautiful and just not murderous, which is just how its supposed to be. The lighting and colors are perfect, i cannot stress how much I love this.

Foxface is indeed described as cunning and sleaky girl, but she was just trying to survive the Hunger Games in the best way she could. No one can't blame her, because it was not her fault that she has been chosen to compete in the Games. But in this picture, all the slyness dissappeared an instead innocence is took its place. For me, Foxface, even if she wasn't fully described and developed, was the best character in the books.

Totally agree with what you're saying about this scene in the book. I think you did really well here, I especially like the fact that she looks so innocent - eventhough foxface is always portrayed as being sly, sneaky etc..
