Description
Like the smaller Punitor, the Vindicare-class destroyer is a typical Orion blend of quality and quantity. Designed to be a true ship-killer, this is the lightest class of warship that intelligence reports believe could potentially carry a PSP. Even if it does not, the conventional weapons and WMDs that it IS known to carry are substantial enough in their own right. This has made it a mainstay in the Orion Imperial Navy. The Vindicare mounts a prolific number of spinal mounts. Two heavy APPCs spinals, nine heavy AP lancer spinals, four heavy 2,800mm MAC gun spinals, and two heavily-armoured prow sections that are possible Pinpoint Singularity Projector emitters. If this turns out to be the case, it will officially rank as the most heavily armed destroyer in known space, as even Ahrugan Cuaifeach-class destroyers carry only a single PSP.
The Vindicare does not lack for directional firepower, either. Sixteen triple-barrel APPC turrets, ten rapid-tracking heavy dual APPC turrets, fourteen medium quad-barrel medium APPCs, sixteen medium AP lancer turrets, and nearly a hundred point-defense turrets and AMS batteries round out the energy weapons compliment. Missile batteries abound on the Vindicare, with the equivalent of sixty eighty-shot LRM launchers, four SSM launchers, and eight APM launchers. The latter- Anti-Planetary Missile silos- are mounted on the dorsal side of the vessel, and carry one APM each. These WMDs are enough to obliterate four planets by themselves, and make the Vindicare a frightening warship by their presence.
The destroyer carries ten eight-fighter squadrons of Cestus interceptors, and two four-fighter squadrons of Gladius fighter-bombers. Additional small craft include a dozen Imperator dropships- which act as command-and-control centers once dirtside- and ten shuttles. The Hanger bays for the fighters are mounted in the stern to protect them while launching and recovering, with the recovery bays above the launch tubes to allow for continuous flight operations. The dropship bays are on the ventral side, and the shuttles are hangered in the dorsal hull with launch bays port and starboard.
The Vindicare- like the Punitor- is very heavily armoured. It is protected by a sheath of atomically-bonded carbon-turine armour 50-150 meters thick, with tenser field structural supports. Likewise, it also carries the same powerful quadruple-layered ablative and deflector shielding. The only weakness to the Vindicare is the exposed flying bridge- though a backup command and control center exists deep within the vessel- a common attribute on Orion vessels. It is believed by intelligence sources that the flying bridges exist to allow the shipsβ commanders to have a spectacular view as they crush their opposition utterly. It will be interesting to see how this philosophy holds up when they go toe-to-toe with an Alliance ship.

Oh, and maybe you should rename this to Gun Destroyer or something. Cause, now you have a ship dedicated to missiles (the Phalanx-class) and this is seemingly dedicated to cannons. And this is probably cheaper to run (not build though)

Nicely done, you've fixed the turrets so they had some vertical tracking. And all it took was continuing to draw the barrels into the turret. Nice way to avoid having to completely re-draw the turrets.

I dunno, seems a little pacifistic and poorly armed
I see you lived up to your motto of "If you can't fit more weapons on it, YOU'RE NOT TRYING HARD ENOUGH!"
