This is amazing . Is this a 3D print from a digital sculpt? Or traditional work? Thanks for your time!Β

Thanks Meadowknight! Β This one is traditional. Β I used to do digital, and will probably head back that direction soon. Β I prefer hands on, but zbrush is so insanely awesome that I have to learn it.

this is really awesome!
but two mighty questions: what kind of clay do you actually use= and is it air drying or not?)
and: why is it actually necessary that everywhere, where something cool and awesome is, an ugly woman has to be with unlogic little clothing? o_o (not that you sculpted her bad, i just don't understand this xD)

The clay is Super Sculpey and it bakes in the oven. Β I usually mix the regular pink sculpey with the grey Sculpey Firm to get a better clay.
Ugly woman with unlogical clothing....fair question, though I don't think you had to throw ugly in there as it is a little insulting to the artist, which is me.
But yeah... I find myself asking that same question when I see it in movies and other art. Β I get annoyed when a female super hero is fighting in high heels. Β In this particular sculpt, I was in a hurry, so I stuck to what I know. Β I'd like to go back at some point and put something badass in her place. Β But in general, I like sculpting sexy women, so I'm sure it won't be the last time.

okay, thanks ^^
yeah, sorry, i didn't want to offend you. she looks great, and your whole sculptures, too, i just don't like the combination from animal/weapon/military + woman with veeeery little clothing ^^ i don't get the meaning of it. if i'd draw a woman with weapon she would have armor, logically.
well, i somehow can understand you when you say you like sculpting sexy women, because i can imagine that it's nice to have all those soft curves which are propably easier to sculpt than hard edges of men or armor but nice that you at least thought about it why it actually is in movies and not just drooled

what a wonderful seance of movement you have in this sculpture the details are beautiful and the concept desine is gorgeous.
might I ask how you built your under structure for this peace to keep its balance,
is it a typical wire under structure or did you build it on something lighter or dose it have a thinker metal rod thats helping it keep its balance ?
none the less great work

Thank you! The creature's spine and support leg are made of a 3/8" aluminum wire, with the rest of the skeleton made up of 1/8" wire. Most of the main body is built up with foil to keep the weight down.

Stunning just stunning, the fine detail just blows my mind. I mean, every wrinkle and crevice is just mind blowing. I'm waffling, sorry! All I can say is you must have had some very stiff competition if you didn't win!

I really like the sense of speed you get from both figures. Looks like the lady is bumping along the saddle while her mount is scrambling forward. I've recently gotten more interest in sculpting so I love seeing beautifully made ones like yours. The detail and balance is brilliant (that bedroll and the saddle's harnesses are just mindblowing)

Wow! This is beautiful, i'm surprised you didn't win, the pose is an original and the detail is simply amazing! How long did it take you to make this? Looks like it would take weeks to make. And did you use some sort of tool to get all the wrinkles and tiny detail in?

Brilliant! While there are lots of pictures/sculptures depicting people riding on a dinosaur, you rarely get this type of comical motion.

Ahaha, I love saddles like that. The motion of this piece is absolutely beautiful~I love everything about this. The muscles, plating, the blind rider--wonderful work.

Mindblowing! Such great originality! And capturing the mid gallop of this titanic creature.
My only criticism is the posture might just be a tiny bit off for the big creature. The lady was done just right!
