Description
So, it's taken me a while to really understand why Asami is my favorite LOK character, and it was doing this piece that I figured it out, she's the Avatar universe's representative of an archetype that doesn't really exist anymore, at least not in the same way. She's the glamorous ,upper-crust, dare-devil adventurer. The Red Baron in WW1 could be seen as an example, or later in the 20s Charles Lindberg, Howard Hughes (before he boarded the crazy train), and of course Amelia Earhart. Actually, everyone talks of Varrick being the Avatar Howard Hughes, really though he's only half, Asami is the other half. Actually, I sorely wish we could've gotten more of those two together in season 4, the little we did get shows a chemistry even more fun to watch than Varrick and Bolin.
